There’s that feeling when you're on your own.

That feeling when you're walking home at night where the dark hue of the sky mixes with the tones of the street lights. That feeling when you can't sleep at 4 am and you just feel that one feeling no one can really describe. The feeling when you ask yourself if you're really okay, and you want to say that you're fine but you know you're not.

It's almost like you're drowning, yet feeling like you're levitating. It's almost like when you know you're by yourself and you feel that when you're on your own you don't have to pretend anymore. It's funny, you feel it even more strongly when you're pretending you're not feeling it.

And we all feel it, and it becomes a part of us. Perhaps once in a while, we should watch the tapes of us back through and remind ourselves that even if all of this seems too much right now, everything will be okay.
